Samardala (Nectaroscordum siculum bulgaricum/ Allium siculum) is also called Bulgarian honey garlic. It belongs to the allium family and is endemic to the Balkan Peninsula.
Samardala is also a medicinal plant (as recognized in Medicinal Plans Act).There is evidence that the plant has a proven health effect on harmful cholesterol, that it increases appetite and facilitates digestion.
